Koei Tecmo asking fans if they want a PS Vita release for Nights of Azure
Koei Tecmo announced that Nights of Azure (what we previously called Land of No Night) is headed to PlayStation 4, but we haven’t heard anything about a PS Vita or PS3 release like what Japan got. Koei Tecmo recently asked fans via Twitter if they’d like to see the game release for PS Vita.
While there’s no guarantee that the game will get a PlayStation Vita release, it looks like a good majority of fans have voiced their opinions on the matter:
Nights of Azure is slated for release for PlayStation 4 in North America on March 29, and Europe on April 1, 2016.
Nights of Azure - Koei Tecmo details leading characters in upcoming RPG from Gust
Koei Tecmo released today new information and assets centring on the protagonists of Nights of Azure, the brand new IP from Gust studios. The title is currently in development for the PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system and will be released on 1st April 2016 across Europe.
The game is set on the imaginary island-kingdom of Ruswal, where nights are plagued by Azure-blooded demons. Although it is dangerous for humans to leave their homes after dark, the brave knights known as the Curia are trained to fend off the ever growing threat.
Among them is Arnice, a warrior of great skill and the protagonist of Nights of Azure. While she’s skilled with a blade, her talents aren’t just a product of her training. Arnice has some demon blood herself and is actually the only human that has managed to touch azure blood and survive! This event hasn’t left her unscathed and its thrilling implications become apparent quite early on; among others, it allows her access to a set of impressive abilities including the power to summon monsters to her aid in battle.
Koei Tecmo also released images on the first of a row of very interesting supporting character: Lilysse. Lilysse is a chosen saint whose fate is inextricably intertwined with the outcome of the game, and Arnice’s best friend. Their friendship is one of the most vital storytelling elements of this title, and the ending of the game will be greatly affected by how players choose to incorporate it in key decisions.
Dark New Title From Gust and Producer Keisuke Kikuchi is Coming to the West!
Koei Tecmo is delighted to announce the upcoming western release of successful new IP from Gust studios: Nights of Azure.
Originally released in Japan this fall under the title ‘Yorunonai Kuni’, Nights of Azure is a tragic epic tale of two friends tangled up in a web of fate and faced with impossible decisions that will test their loyalty to their quest and to each other to the limits.
Set on an uncharted imaginary island kingdom that floats in the North Sea, Nights of Azure paints a picture of a land where nights are tormented by azure-blooded demons. In this kingdom of Ruswal very few people have the strength and the skill to take on the monsters and walk around after the sun has set. One of the best among them is the protagonist, Arnice, a knight of great skill and power. Arnice is assisted by her friend and priestess Lilysse in a quest to rid the land of demons, but she soon finds out that the solution to the island’s problems might not be as simple as defeating enemies in battle.
Shaped under the keen, imaginative eye of Keisuke Kikuchi (Fatal Frame, Deception IV), Nights of Azure marks a new, darker, direction for GUST, while it maintains a lot of the gameplay elements dedicated fans of the studio love. This title is currently in development for the PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system and slated for release on 1st April 2016 across Europe (March 29 in North America).
Koei Tecmo has released an new, introductory, trailer for this new IP. More details and information on this title will be made public in the next few weeks.
