Alone in the Dark: IlluminationTM Invites Fans to Private Beta

Atari, one of the world’s most recognized publishers and producers of interactive entertainment, today announced the beta period for its latest PC title, Alone in the Dark: Illumination, beginning on January 29th, 2015. To pre-order Alone in the Dark: Illumination and access the private beta, visit the Steam page.

Alone in the Dark: Illumination features several campaigns with multiple levels that take players through the blasted landscape of Lorwich, Virginia, and deep below ground to unearth the mysteries of the forsaken township. Players fight off hordes of eldritch nightmares while using the power of illumination to light up maps and create safe zones to damage foes. This latest installment of the Alone in the Dark® franchise also includes a cooperative multiplayer option that allows gamers to battle The Darkness together with four distinct heroes – the Hunter, the Witch, the Priest and the Engineer, each of them leveling up their different skills.

As part of the pre-order package on Steam, the private beta launch grants fans early access to the survival-action-horror game on January 29, 2015, with a chance to explore and provide feedback on the first campaign in single-player mode. One additional beta period will be announced in the weeks leading up to launch.

“Alone in the Dark has a passionate following of players who have kept up with the series since the original 1992 release,” said Fred Chesnais, Chief Executive Officer, Atari. “By introducing cooperative multiplayer, this new game engages the nostalgic fan-base and introduces a new generation of PC gamers to the franchise. 　　接在去年 12 月发行的第 1 章「Iron From Ice」之后，第 2 章「The Lost Lords」将于 2 月 3 日起陆续在家机和 PC 上发行（详情见下方列表），整部游戏预定共将推出 6 个章节。游戏中的世界观和 HBO 同名剧集相同，而该剧则是基于乔治·R·R·马丁笔下的原著小说《冰与火之歌》改编而成的。游戏的开始时间大约相当于电视剧集的第 3 季后半，而结束于电视剧第 5 季的开场。

　　Telltale 推出的这款作品企图带领玩家在系列游戏中，扮演「森林氏族（House Forrester）」的家族成员，以 5 个不同视角体验《冰与火之歌》的世界。扮演每位角色时所下的决定都有可能会影响到另一位角色的故事进行，据官方表示，这样的安排将使得每次的决定变得更为举足轻重。

Tropico dev reveals Victor Vran, a new action-RPG for PC

　　由《总统万岁（又名为《天堂岛》）》系列研发商 Haemimont Games 开发、新款动作角色扮演游戏《猎魔奇侠（暂译，Victor Vran）》即将于今年夏季上市，预定于近期在 Steam 平台展开抢先体验，游戏同步公开宣传影片。

　　游戏发行商 EuroVideo Medien 表示，《猎魔奇侠》结合了大量的武器、物品、装备、恶魔能力与命运卡，玩家将可以体验与从四面八方围攻的敌人激烈对战的乐趣，快想办法释放强大技能来解决怪物吧！

　　EuroVideo Medien 指出，《猎魔奇侠》将让玩家自己决定如何玩游戏，藉由多样化强而有力的武器、装备与邪恶的恶魔力量、命运卡等，玩家可以打造个人化的角色，玩家可以使用组合技能与武器来消灭那些成群的怪物。

　　玩家在游戏中将可以与好友一起在线组队，探索黑暗世界的故事，享受共同冒险的乐趣，甚至玩家要为了寻找隐藏的宝箱、得想办法跳上坏掉的建筑物来探索；游戏中有着多样化行为的怪兽、随机生成的物品，玩家除了使用键盘鼠标外，还可以使用 Xbox 控制器来体验游戏。

Tropico developer Haemimont Games launches action-RPG ‘Victor Vran’ this summer in partnership with publisher EuroVideo

Victor Vran will slay its way onto PC and other platforms to be announced this summer in cooperation between Bulgarian veteran independent studio Haemimont Games, best known for the Tropico series, and publisher EuroVideo Medien. The team’s goal is to bring a fresh perspective to the genre by adding a broad range of equipment and special moves that drastically change combat, along with a simple, but game-changing, jumping mechanic that separates itself from many titles in the action-RPG genre.

“It all started with a simple idea: let’s put the ‘action’ back in the action-RPG genre,” says Gabriel Dobrev, CEO and founder of Haemimont Games. Victor Vran is the first action-RPG from the experienced team, and was introduced to a select audience behind closed doors at Gamescom 2014 in Cologne, Germany.

Victor Vran lets the player decide how he or she wants to play the game. Players can forge their own personal version of Victor thanks to a vast array of powerful weapons, game-changing outfits, wicked demon powers and fate cards. Use special moves, combine skills and weapons to wipe out hordes of hideous beasts and clever boss monsters.

Slaying demons doesn’t have to be a lonely affair – team up with friends online and explore the story of the dark world together in a full co-op experience.

Prior to final release, Victor Vran will be available via Steam Early Access. Haemimont Games invites players to take part in development and join forces with the team in the weeks before release. The game will be nearly complete when it enters Early Access with plenty of time to respond to community feedback and ideas.

Arcade classic Asteroids returns as an open-world, multiplayer survival game for PC

　　由 Salty Games 研发的这款《爆破彗星：前哨战》游戏中，玩家将会去挖掘资源，建设基地、抵御外敌，同时与其他玩家相互结盟。玩家在游戏中将扮演宇宙挖矿工，要想办法在小行星带上求生，玩家将从「岩石」间去累积个人的财富。

　　Atari 表示，在巨大、无情的行星带中，玩家将面对探索行星的挑战、搜集资源、清除矿石、打造装备，与建设客制化的基地同时扩大自己的领土，玩家还可以彼此形成联盟，在多人游戏中与其他玩家来对抗。

This bold re-imagining of the world-renowned 1979 arcade shooter puts players in the role of a deep space miner, as they struggle for survival in the asteroid belt. Set in the distant future, Asteroids: Outpost thrusts players into a harsh deep space environment. Dreamfall Chapters Book Two: Rebels out on March 10



Dreamfall Chapters Book One: Reborn was released late last year, and we're now almost ready to unleash our second episode.

Dreamfall Chapters Book Two: Rebels arrives on Steam, GOG and the Humble Store for Windows/Mac/Linux Tuesday March 10th.

The highly rated and Kickstarter funded follow-up to adventure classics The Longest Journey and Dreamfall, Dreamfall Chapters is an episodic story-driven adventure about choice and consequence set in parallel worlds: a cyberpunk vision of the future and a magical fantasy realm.

Book Two continues the story that began with Book One, and follows protagonists Kian Alvane and Zoë Castillo on their journeys to uncover the conspiracy that threatens the twin worlds of order and chaos.

In addition to revisiting locations and characters from Book One, Book Two contains a brand new city to explore: Marcuria, the capital of the Northlands, home to the Azadi occupying forces and the resistance.

The first full trailer for Book Two will arrive February 24th.
